Talk Fusion Gives Dogs a Second Chance

Through the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, Talk Fusion helped create a new area called the Second Chance Patio, built specifically for larger, older dogs that are more difficult to get adopted. Here, they are safe until they find a permanent home.

Talk Fusion Founder and CEO, Bob Reina, and VP Training & Development Allison Roberts, were recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. They are dedicated to helping provide a voice for helpless animals, helping them find forever homes, increasing donations to the Humane Society and lowering euthanasia rates. As Board Members, they and Talk Fusion will continue to be instrumental in bringing projects like this to reality.

Here's a recent news clip on this exciting Second Chance Patio.

TAMPA — Thanks to one dog's run-in with an alligator, thousands of other Hillsborough County strays will sleep more comfortably.

You may recall the story of Bindi, the shepherd mix found grievously injured near an east county mining pit this summer. The pup's left front leg had been stripped to the bone. Animal rescue workers suspected an alligator.

In stepped Bob Reina, chief executive of a tech company, who paid for a lifesaving amputation and heartworm treatment for Bindi. Then he adopted her.

It's a tall order. The county's Animal Services euthanizes about 20,000 unwanted animals a year. But Reina says he thinks he can use video and Internet technology to tap into the public's vast reservoir of compassion and find help.

On Thursday, the county commission accepted Reina's offer to use his Talk Fusion video marketing company to boost donations and volunteerism at the county's animal shelter on Falkenburg Road.
